Purelake were honoured to be invited to take part in this inaugural event at the prestigious Home Grown private member’s club in London, W1. With our very own first lady of construction, Sales Director, Tracey Wheelan representing Purelake. Other guests included businesses such as interior designers, architects, and other leading property developers and housebuilders.
The evening was hosted by Lucy Minoli, who introduced the guest speaker for the evening, Samantha Day who has become a leading motivational speaker, and stand up comedian, following a 30 year career in tax accountancy as a partner at KPMG. Samantha’s presentation was titled “How to be heard – How to communicate”, her insights into the modern workspace as a woman in business was nothing short of inspirational, as well as extremely entertaining.
Early on in her career Tracey was the only woman in the room, but in recent years the rise of women in this male dominated industry, has been a welcome sight. Purelake are proud to be a part of this movement with women taking on a variety of roles on all of our sites, that were once only held by men.
We are looking forward to the next Women In Property Design and Development Event and the continuation of equality in our sector.
