Opening of The George, Farnborough, Kent 2008
Directors of The Purelake Group Barry White and Gerry Dowd celebrate the official opening of The George by Her Worshipfulness The Mayor of Bromley, with pupils from Farnborough Hill Primary School.
School children attended the official opening of The George development in Farnborough following a years involvement with the scheme. Pupils from Year 4 and Year 5 at Farnborough Primary School in Farnborough Hill have been participating in a Business Partnership Project with The Purelake Group, who have been working on The George.
The Scheme which was initially set up by the Education Business Partnership, was designed to encourage and support pupils at work, to be involved with their local community and begin to understand the world of work.
Pupils have been attending the development site since April last year, conducting interviews and gaining unprecedented access to site activity.The children celebrated as the eight cottages and five apartments at the development opened.
